I will admit to finding paranormal romance stories often entertaining, but I can't recommend this story. The initial presentation of the main character, Shannon, is one of a strong intelligent and capable woman. Yet within a few pages she quickly devolves into a weak willed "bodice ripper" character with less emotional and intellectual stability than my twelve year old daughter!

To enjoy a "PM" I expect consistency in characters and real tension or at least humor. This reads like something a teenybopper would write...
I LOVED THIS BOOK!! A NEW TWIST TO VAMP/WERE STORIES AND IT IS AMAZING!! SO MUCH ACTION, ROMANCE AND THAT AWESOME HAPPY, EXCITING FEELING WITH A GREAT BOOK!! CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK, I HOPE IT WILL BE SOON!! THIS IS A MUST READ!!!
I was hesitant to read a novel of a butt-kicking female written by a male. I frequently passed over his two books when searching for my next vampire/were series. I willingly eat crow and it tastes GREAT! Unlike some of my other favorite female authors, he gets right down to business. Very seldom did I see 4 pages describing setting. However, there was enough detail for me to paint my own picture. My only disappointment is I see only two books written by this author. I hope Mr. North gives us more adventures for Shannon and her family.
I really wanted to like this story - the summary offered so much promise, but the book did not deliver. The heroine who is supposed to be some bad ass is actually an immature let down. Conversation did not flow at all in this book, normal people do not say each other's name repetitively during conversation. I hope the writer changed tactics in the follow up books, however I will not be reading them. This story was a let down
Have you ever forced yourself to finish a book? I literally forced myself to finish this! I normally read 1-2 books PER DAY. It took me THREE days to force myself to read this. By the end of the disaster...uh, book...I was praying for it to end. It is such a mish mash of thoughts, ideas that never developed. I had high hopes but the dialogue was terrible, the actions were just forced, & nothing made sense. Oh, I'm related to werewolves & vampires & I'm immortal? Oh dear that can't be...wait, it's fine, I'm great with this. Please! Avoid this book!!!!!
The concept for this story is amazing, it's just a pity that the execution of it resembles a middle school fictional essay assignment.
Annoying parts does the speaker have to say the name of the person they are speaking with in every dialogue? It's not the natural way conversations flow and is so frustrating. Also there were a few times where we experienced a characters thoughts and feelings in the space of as many sentences. My favourite was three characters in seven sentences.
For such an exceptional story concept and interesting characters, the writing and story flow was poor. It was a struggle to finish, and I only did so I could write this review and warning to other readers. The book is not worth paying money for in its current state. If it gets a few revisions and is edited...well that is a different story (as will be the new book😃)

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this book from Beginning to End. I honestly wish I would of found it sooner. TBH I have not one idea how I got the book, but "OMG I'M SO WONDERFULLY GLAD I DID!" The Confusion, The Action, The Love, The Powers, The Magic, Just the WHOLE Interaction between all of the Characters made me want more, more, and then some more! I Love the Vampire/Werewolves Connection... It's  actually enlightening. A book I would RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE. THANK YOU Mr. North for an AMAZINGLY WRITTEN BOOK! I  WILL MOST LIKELY READ THE NEXT 3 OVER THE NEXT TWO DAYS... You are my "Favorite Author next to Victoria Zack and JR Ward!" 📖📚☄🌟🗼🕌🌋 So sorry for going to wild with the emoji things!! LOL
